Morgan Walton
Morgan Walton is an experienced educator and mom of 3 curious and energetic girls. She is passionate about literacy and early childhood development. With over 10 years of experience teaching and supporting students, Morgan has taught in both the early childhood and elementary school settings. Morgan has an official certificate from the American Montessori Training Society as well as MA in Early Childhood Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s College of California (Moraga, CA). Morgan has also taught as a Kindergarten teacher in the public school setting and currently is employed as a Literacy Specialist in the Stamford Public School System. Morgan specializes in using multisensory, research-based techniques (Orton-Gillingham, University of Florida Literacy Institute, Literacy How) to create individualized and specialized academic support plans for students. “My goal is to help children become fluent, avid readers and lifelong learners.”
In addition to supporting students, Morgan is passionate about helping educators through coaching, mentoring, and delivering professional development. Morgan is featured on the Reading Universe website in video content aimed at providing teachers with knowledge and training based on the Science of Reading. “I truly believe that the educator I am today is due to my own mentors helping to unlock my true potential as an educator.”
When Morgan is not pursuing educational endeavors, you can find her spending time in nature, prioritizing exercise and movement, and googling “healthy family dinner ideas for picky eaters”.
Julienne Foy is a Licensed Master Social Worker who obtained her Master's Degree from Fordham University. She has worked in human services and education for over twenty years. Her passion is working with young children and families, offering parent support and guidance in education, advocacy, and child development. Julie uses a hollstic, strength-based approach in her work with clients and focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Executive Functioning techniques.
Julie offers a relational approach to the therapeutic experience. She believes that people and their experiences are multi-faceted. She has found success in providing intentional interventions to address underlying and specific client concerns. Her goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where children and families can be seen, heard, and empowered.
Born and raised in New Haven, she has lived in Stamford for over twenty years. She is the mother of one son, who graduated from AITE and is now in his junior year at UCONN. She is actively involved in the Stamford community: serving on the Board of Directors at SPEF, volunteering at events, and engaging in programs that support parents and young children. In her downtime, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends as well as taking care of her fur baby, Quincy.

Julie Foy
Cindy Lopez is a certified elementary school teacher with a certification in bilingual education. Cindy earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Connecticut. Throughout her years of teaching, Cindy discovered her passion for early childhood education and transitioned into the preschool classroom. Cindy uses the Reggio Emilia Approach to guide her teaching. Cindy incorporates Social Emotional Learning as her foundation for teaching literacy and math skills. Cindy believes, “All children learn through love, understanding and individualized approaches.”
Cindy is currently employed in Norwalk, CT as a Family Support Specialist. Cindy believes that the partnership between educators and parents are essential for a student’s success. As a Family Support Specialist, Cindy is able to support children through parent education, guidance and empowerment.
Cindy was born in Port Chester, NY to immigrant Mexican parents and is fluent in Spanish. She was raised in Stamford, CT and graduated from Stamford High School. Cindy has served as a mentor and tutor for the Stamford Schools and is now on the Board of Directors at SPEF. When not partnering with families, Cindy enjoys spending time in nature with her sister, Wendy and their dog, Benito.
